2016

Co-hosted visit of Ewa Wojciak and The Theatre of Eighth Day. Wojciak gave a Copernicus Program in Polish Studies lecture at the University of Michigan Ann arbor campus: “Breaking Boundaries Before and After Censorship: A Personal Story of When and How You Should Say No”. The troupe performed “The Files” and subsequently spent an evening with attendees at a special dinner hosted by the Polish Cultural Fund Board.

Co-hosted Robert Biedron, author and mayor of Slupsk, Poland. A prominent Polish LGTB activist, Biedron delivered a Copernicus Program in Polish Studies lecture, “Sexual minorities and Civil Rights in Poland”. There was also a special dinner honoring Biedron at a board member’s home in Ann Arbor.

2015

Co-hosted visit of prominent Polish jazz trumpeter, Tomasz Stanko. Stanko performed at Hill Auditorium with his NEW BALLADYNA QUARTET.

Co-finansed the documentary movie “Bridging Urban America: the story of master Engineer, Ralph Modjeski” by Barbara and Leonard Myszynski.

Organized and financed Dr Jacek Bojakowski lecture “Sight Resolution, Brain Intergration and Minature Portrait czyli rozdzielczosc wzroku, integracja mozgowa I miniatura portretowa” and exhibition of Dr Bojakowski minature portraits. The exhibition took place at local Amadeus restaurant.

Promoted and subsidized “Chapri” movie by Katarzyna Plazinska at the European Festival.

2013

Organized and funded IPN exhibition, “Katyn,” and hosted Lukasz Kaminski, IPN President (special thanks to Ewa Pasek).

Co-financed the production of Slawomir Grunberg's movie, “Karski – the Lord of Humanity.”

Co-hosted and co-financed the visit of Marcin Gizycki and his presentation of the history of polish animation.

2012

Co-sponsored Annual Copernicus Program in Polish Studies lecture, given by acclaimed director and screenwriter, Agnieszka Holland. The lecture, “A Filmmaker’s Approach to Society’s Most Vexing Concerns” was followed by a free screening of Oscar nominated movie, “In Darkness.”
